Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973)

Born in Spain, Picasso once said, he could draw before he could walk or talk. There was not an
aspect of art that this giant did not try his hand at without brilliant results. Picasso, the inventor of cubism, was probably the most famous artist of the twentieth century.

An extremely prolific artist, in his lifetime he created literally thousands of works in many different mediums – drawing; printing, painting sculpture and ceramics.

Pablo Picasso died at the age of 91 in Mougins, France.

No man has changed the face of modern art more profoundly than Pablo Picasso himself.
